Founder:

Tina Schmill, founder of Pegasus, is an Advanced Riding Therapy Instructor for the physically and cognitively impaired with NARHA (North American Riding and Handicapped Association) through HIGH HOPES Therapeutic Riding INC, Old Lyme, Connecticut, USA (2001).

As a former Veterinary Nurse and Social Educator, Tina has over 18 years of experience working with people, animals and in particular with horses as Riding Therapist in City Farms and Special Schools in her native Switzerland.

She returns to the States frequently for Conferences, to network and for further training.

Committee & Directors :

Pegasus is governed by three directors and six supporting members. As a total of nine voluntary, non-waged committee members, they form the heart and legal base of our non-profit organisation. They come from all walks of life, and include people with farming, business and equestrian backgrounds, as well as Pegasus parents & adult riders (guest members).

Our Directors are Phil Conaty, Thomas Curren and Marianne Du Toit

Our committee and/or lesson volunteers…are people from all walks of life, some of whom still volunteer 1-2 per week since assisting with our first lesson in 2003.

Our Instructors are Tina Schmill (Advanced NARHA Instructor), Josephine Mc Grath (Registered NAHRA Instructor) & Katrin Keppler (Registered NAHRA Instructor).

Our horses are. Faura, Momo (the horse), Henry, Nisha & Duke.

Our PetLink animals are. Simba, Lia, Momo (the cat).
